Money is Payment for…
As a struggling actress, I knew that in order to feed/clothe myself & keep a roof over my head, I had to take as many day jobs as I had limbs. These day jobs equaled money, and comfort, and a Girls Night Out or two. Even though I was auditioning every spare second I had, and taking almost every …
How to ship a money payment to Netherlands?
I need to ship a money payment to the Netherlands and i have the address and stuff fine its just i dont know what stamps to put on and it is at least 2-3 ounces. I live in new jersey, USA so can anyone help me find the right stamps and such to put on the envelope. btw, my envelope is like one you would get for a birthday card etc.
i forgot to mention im 15. so credit cards are not gonna happen.
Only an idiot sends cash by international mail. Go to your bank and ask them for an International Bank draft, which is 100% safe.It is made out to the person/company that is to receive the payment. Alternatively make the payment electronically using a Debit/Credit card.
If you use the former method, putting the "draft" with a letter in the envelope, it will cost you the standard international airmail rate.

Common sense
First of all… You’re sending this money to a friend I presume, and not to some rip-off-scheme that promises you a lot of money if you just "pay for some costs" first, right?
If so, you can have your letter insured which might be quite expensive. You should go to your local post office and ask them for advice…
also, just in case… If you’re planning on having someone send you some "illegal substances"… Don’t… You’ll get caught and you’ll be in big trouble… "they" have ways of finding out…

Please whatever you do, so not send money in an envelope even if you insure it. The insurance is very expensive anyway!
My best friend was a manager for the Dutch postal service and some of the stories he told me left me gobsmacked. As a result I would never send money by post in any circumstances.
If you need to make a payment to a company/individual then sign up to paypal. You don’t need a credit card, as you can use it with a bank account only.
Otherwise pop into your bank and you can make an International Bank-to-Bank transfer. You just need the persons name (on the account), the bank address, the IBAN & Swift/BIC codes and then the bank can make the transfer on your behalf
Doing it via paypal or the bank is a lot safer than by post.
P.S. Western Union/Moneygram transfers are horrendously expensive and you should never ever transfer money this way to a person or company that you don’t know personally. Scams are very common with this route and there is no recourse to reclaim your money. Western Union state as much on their own website.
